The weather was incredible for S&M’s summer Coombe Lodge wedding. Their ceremony was a stunner in the cavernous St Cuthbert’s Church in Wells and Steph’s Sassi Holford geometric gown stole a tiny part of the show; it was perfect. A drive over the Mendips took us to the reception and one of my favourite wedding venues – Coombe Lodge. The venue is a huge, imposing Deco-era building, built on Jacobean foundations; cool or what?! I particularly love their greenhouses (because i have a slight obsession with greenhouses) and the gorgeous architectural areas throughout the grounds.
The reception began with a mini victorian fair; all the favourite fairground games and lots of cute photo opportunities. S&M had pulled out all the stops in decorating their wedding breakfast setting, including a fully-fledged cake table in any colour, providing it was pink! Some very emotional speeches and a fantastic evening on the dancefloor awaited the guests whilewe took a stroll for the couple’s portraits, among the Coombe Lodge gardens.
